Our Story

The 'AI for the Soul' initiative is a manifestation of divine inspiration, deeply rooted in our experiences with the Church and faith-based organizations (FBO). Our professional journey in developing and implementing AI technologies has often intersected with inquiries from friends and colleagues about how AI will impact Christianity.

In our view, the rising influence of AI presents crucial considerations for the Christian community. Examples of this are that church leaders must understand the benefits and drawbacks of these technologies to guide their congregations effectively, parents will need insight into how AI affects their children, and we all require clarity on how AI aligns with biblical teachings and influences our spiritual and personal lives.

Our vision is to foster a safe, spiritually enriching environment where more people can experience the joy of living through Jesus and the Bible. 'AI for the Soul' aims to centralize information, offering access to leading views and perspectives on AI from a Christian standpoint.

My name is Christopher Foster-McBride, Founder

I am a Christian who has co-founded three AI companies. I have a deep understanding of the limitations of these models and technologies. If used correctly, I believe they can enhance our lives. Crucially, I am also well-placed to understand the risks and have supported the writing of submissions to inform government AI-related policy.

As Christians, we need to stay informed and contribute our powerful and unique voices to AI-related conversations. As we delve into the Bible, scripture can provide a framework for Christians to engage with AI, emphasising the importance of ethical considerations.

As well as being a technology and AI enthusiast, I am a husband to Alice (who is Brazilian) and father of two children. We are based in South Australia and call the Life Christian Centre in Adelaide our spiritual home. I am a vocal and proud Christian.
